You can perform a factory reset fast and easy through Samsung settings. As we already mentioned you should ensure that the device has at least 70% battery or it is connected to the power before you start. Once everything is settled, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to Settings and search for the Factory Data Reset option.
- Tap the Factory Data Reset and confirm all warnings that will appear.
- If you have a lock screen, you will be asked to enter your password/PIN or pattern.
- Finally, a button will appear “Delete All”, to proceed tap on it.
At this point, your device should vibrate to a black screen and a small working Android robot should appear. The factory reset could take up to an hour so leave your device connected to power aside and wait until it is ready.

- Ensure that the device that you are going to factory reset is powered off. To power off the Samsung tablet hold the Power Button for about 5-6 seconds until it vibrates and press on Shut Down/Power Off.
- To enter the Bootloader, press the Volume Up Button + Power Button simultaneously and hold for another 5 or 6 seconds, again until it vibrates.
- At this point your device will boot but not the Android OS, instead, you will see the Bootloader Menu.
- To navigate in the Bootloader menu, simply use the Volume Down button, and to select settings use the Power Button.
- Highlight and select the Factory Reset settings and press on Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
- A warning should appear stating that this action Can’t be Undone and if you would like to proceed. Highlight “Yes” and press the Power Button to select and proceed.
- Once ready, select Reboot System Now and wait until your device restarts. Now it should load the wiped, factory restored Android software.
